[9.1.2008] -
I know it has been a long time since we have updated this site but a lot has gone on in the months since our near absence from the web. Steve returned to the Seattle area (2 years in Oklahoma were apparently 2 years too many) and he and Scott are planning on putting things back together and getting the old gang back together. More updates as events warrant! [12.27.2007] - It
just dawned on me that there was never an official announcement that we
have merchandise available. So here it is: We have merchandise available
on our website! We have tee shirts, stickers, mouse pads and more! Just
follow the links on the Merch page to see what
all is available for purchase. [12.27.2007] -
We have been having some problems with the download site affiliated with
our MySpace page so for now,
we are just making the album available for download here on the site itself.
Just go to the Music page where you can download
the songs and read the lyrics. [12.18.2007]
- Born Yesterday is now available to download at our MySpace
site. This ep is an internet-only release. If you really feel that you neeed
to have a hard copy of this album, we can send one out to you. Just email
us and we can work something out. [12.9.2007]
- Born Yesterday is now available for your listening pleasure (or displeasure)
at Virb.com. It will soon be
available for download. The decision was made to release this album as an
internet-only release. This decision was reached due partly to financial
constraints but also we figured we would just release it for those that
wanted to hear it and try to get the word out to those who don't know us.
Enjoy! [6.19.2007]
- Sorry it has taken so long to update this thing. The artwork has been
coming along very slowly since I last updated this but finally picked back
up here a few days ago. The artwork is all but done and the CD should be
ready to go to print within a couple of weeks (or sooner even!). I will
try and remain diligent in updating this site to keep you all updated on
when Born Yesterday will finally be released. [11.5.2006]
- The final mix of "Goodbye California" is now complete! As soon as the
cover/inside art is completed it will be ready to ship to be duplicated.
At that time, a release date will be forthcoming. Stay tuned! [11.5.2006]
It turns out that the rough mixes for "Goodbye California" were somewhat
salvageable from the Great Hard Drive Crash. Scott has been working diligently
on getting that song re-mixed. So along with that song, we have some other
stuff we should be able to throw together and get Born Yesterday released
after all (as an EP that is). No clue at to any sort of release date right
now but stayed tuned. We will keep you informed. [10.15.2006]
- A couple of months ago, Steve left the hustle and bustle of Seattle and
moved to the quiet midwestern town of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Otisburg
legacy lives on with him. He is currently in the process of rebuilding the
band and hopefully will have some good news about playing some shows soon
with the new re-built Otisburg. Stay tuned! [9.9.2006] -
Well, the bad news is that about a week ago the hard drive which stored
all of our recording files crashed. The final outcome of this being that
all of the rough mixes for the Born Yesterday EP (along with a bunch of
other tracks) were lost. The end result of this of which being that the
status of a Born Yesterday EP even being released is unknown. We will, however,
keep you posted as events warrant. [5.18.2006]
- Saturday's session went very well. Steve came in to do the guitar and
lead vocal tracks. Even though we were a bit apprehensive about getting
all that finished so quickly, things went just fine. First off, Steve came
in and for the most part nailed his parts dead on. We were also more prepared
from an engineering/production standpoint. We knew how everything was going
to be miked. Other than dialing up the guitar tones, it was mostly just
a matter of setting the levels. We were working pretty efficiently and even
though we sufferend a few minor setbacks, having lost about an hour and
a half due to a traffic accident that occurred outside the studio, everything
was sorted out and we kept on trucking. So now, all of the raw vocal, bass,
guitar and drum tracks are finished. We might need to do a few drum overdubs
and we still need to add in some background vocals. Other than that, we
might be adding some organ to one of the songs to give it a more dynamic
feel. Stay tuned for further details! [5.15.2006]
- The guitar and lead vocals tracks are completed. The bass & background
vocal tracks are nearly completed. We are almost ready for the final mix! [5.10.2006]
- We are churning along trying to get this album recorded. All of the drums
tracks are done as of yesterday. We will begin the bass tracks sometime
this week and hopefully begin the guitar tracks not too much further after
that. You can keep checking here or My
Space for further updates as they happen! [5.1.2006] -
Recording has begun on the new Otisburg album! We are setting a tentative
release date of July 1. Stay tuned for further details and visit the My
Space site for further updates! [1.31.2006]
- The songs "Goodbye California" and a live demo recording of "Generic Punk
Rock Song" are available now at MySpace.
They were recorded by Scott in the home studio. [6.3.2005] - Hey Jennifer is now available at My Space. It was recorded by Scott and Brant in their home studio. [5.5.2005] - The song Doughnut Riot is now available to listen to through streaming audio at My Space. It was recorded between January and February, 2005 by Joel Williams at the Art Institute in Seattle. |
